Many of you know I was a portrait photographer who worked in LA, Riverside, and Orange County. I began photographing people in 2004. After my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, I scaled down my workload to just Orange County. Once he was in total remission, I resumed my photography work. I opened a home studio for small family groups, headshots, and newborn photography. Location shoots included large family reunions, a select group of preschools from previous clients, head shots for reality companies, and for specialized projects I had at my disposal a large photo studio space. I did family portrait fundraising events for the Multiple Myeloma Foundation where I connected with local firefighter families. Word of mouth, and a Google listing, I stayed busy year round. After moving to Joshua Tree, I got sidetracked with other creative projects.
Kathy Miller Photography has a newly designed photography studio space and is ready for you! I will accept client bookings for portrait photography services for all individuals, couples, families and other groups. We can also discuss concept sessions primarily for artists and their work. Available sessions will be limited. I have seen a need and feel my experience will elevate local portrait photographer options. I deleted a lot of the headshots years ago, but have a collection of other portrait work that shows how I capture genuine smiles, emotions, and show how the correct lighting can make a huge difference. Options: My preference is to photograph in my home studio located in north Joshua Tree with controlled professional lighting. On location outside I use speed lights, and must consider weather conditions. Your home workspace is another option. I also offer fundraisers for organizations at their location or in my Kathy Miller Photography studio.

Studio headshots starts at $160 Minimum of 10 edited images with a $25 print credit.
Studio shoot, expanded, is $250, 25* digitals and a $50 print credit. Good choice for couples, high school seniors, and artists.
Studio shoot, Concept session $500 25+ edited images, $100 in print credit. Allow 3 hours.
On location, Individuals add $30
Asked about special pricing for Realtors & Associates.
Couples: Start at $250, allow an hour, $50 in print credit, up to 25 ready to print digitals
Family: Four to ten people, $375, allow 90 minutes, 2 11x14 print, up to 25 ready to print digitals, plus all of your candid Share-Me shots.
Portrait Fundraiser for organizations, 5 bookings, and receive 20% donation. At another specified location, 15% donation
